Position Description:

The M&E Manager will be responsible for all M&E related program activities including capacity building and provide technical M&E leadership for all program sectors. S/he will assess the current M&E system and the current capacity of staff related to M&E, and based on this address the identified needs through capacity building and technical support on  data collection methods, data analysis, data verification and result-based management. S/he will also manage the generation, collection and analysis of program data, and related to this design and disseminate information which will help show the impact of the IRC program. Further, the M&E manager will conduct frequent visits to field operations to assess the M&E work, ensure understanding and compliance with M&E procedures and provide guidance and coaching to staff.

 

Specific duties:

1. Assessment of the implementation and needs of the current M&E system
2. Lead capacity building related to monitoring and evaluation
3. Provide M&E support and guidance to the program sector teams and individual staff.
4. Develop tools/methodologies to enhance data collection and learning.
5. Ensure that lessons learnt are being documented, shared and implemented to maximize the impact of the program, based on a result-based management approach
6. Manage the generation, collection, analysis, and dissemination of information pertaining to the project with the assistance of relevant staff.
7. Lead the design, implementation and reporting of all monitoring and evaluation activities
8. Establish and enforce quality standards for the information coming out of the project
9. Ensure that the data submitted and distributed is presented in a pedagogical way
10. Participate in the development of the program implementation strategy, annual work plans and other program implementation and monitoring planning documents.
